Lillian King is a director and artistic administrator, who has worked in many roles at many theaters—from summer stock to Broadway. Lillian is currently the Artistic Director of Vox Theatre which produces VoxLab at Dartmouth College. In 2015 she moved to Toronto and has directed many musicals for the Lower Ossington Theatre, Bravo Academy, and assisted Ann Hodges on Grey Gardens with Musical Stage Company. In the 14-15 season Lillian served as Assistant Artistic Director and Director of Education at Northern Stage in Vermont, where she also directed Blithe Spirit and co-directed Songs for a New World. Before that she was the Assistant Director on Rocky Broadway at the Winter Garden Theater  Peter and the Starcatcher at NYTW, on Broadway, and was Associate Director for the First National Tour. Lillian worked for seven summers at the New London Barn playhouse as a director and Assistant Artistic Director. She received her MFA from Boston University in 2014 and her bachelors degree in Theatre and Psychology from Dartmouth College in 2007. Lillian lives in Toronto with her husband, Dan and her three daughters, Charlotte, Eloise and Isabelle.

Balancing theatre work with life as a mom is an ongoing pursuit, and has made Lillian passionate about shaping the future of her process into a more family-friendly design for everyone involved.
